SDM Zainapora Cracks Down on Stunt Biking, Rash Driving & Firecrackers Ahead of Eid ul-Fitr
Shopian, March 20: In a decisive step to ensure public safety and maintain order during the auspicious occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zainapora has issued strict prohibitory orders banning stunt biking, rash driving, and the use of firecrackers (patakhas) within the subdivision.
The order strictly prohibits all forms of dangerous bike stunts and reckless driving on public roads, which have previously posed serious risks to pedestrians and commuters during festive celebrations.
Additionally, the bursting of firecrackers has been completely banned to curb noise pollution and prevent any untoward incidents, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere for residents.
The administration has warned that strict legal action will be taken against violators, while law enforcement agencies have been directed to remain on high alert across the area.
Authorities have urged the public, particularly the youth, to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr responsibly, maintain discipline, and contribute towards a safe and harmonious festive environment.
