Says Govt committed to JK’s equitable development
KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 21: Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice Abdul Haq khan today conducted an extensive tour of Lolab valley to take stock of various ongoing projects.
The minister inspected developmental projects like road connectivity, ongoing construction in Govt Degree College Boys Sogam, Harvesting Water Tanks, New Building at SDH Sogam and Lalpora. During the tour, Abdul Haq inspected various other ongoing projects and directed the officials to expedite the work so that it can be completed before the onset of winter in the valley. He said there are only two months left for the working season and hence work needs to be expedited to complete the work.
The Minister also interacted with general public and discussed several matters regarding availability of different facilities. He assured the public that all the areas of the state would be provide all basic facilities at their door steps.
Several deputations and individuals from various parts of Lolab valley also met the Minister and brought their problems into his notice.
Responding to the demands raised by deputations, the Minister assured them that he would take up the issues with the concerned Departments for their early redressal. He said that the Government is committed to development of rural and far flung areas. “To meet the goal, several schemes and programs have already been undertaken under R&B, PDD, PHE, Health, RDD and other sectors” he said and urged the people to take full advantage of various state and centrally sponsored schemes.
He said that the dream of Chief Minister about Rural Development Department will come true only when all the flagship programmes of the department are implemented in letter and spirit and all the stakeholders work with dedication, cooperation and honesty.
