Agriculture Minister lays foundation of new Govt High School building at Hanjura

Releases Rs 2 lakh from CDF for setting up computer lab

SRINAGAR:  Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today said that providing basic amenities to people at their doorstep is the topmost priority of the state government.

Minister said this was after laying foundation stone of new Government High School building at Hanjura village in Chrar-e-Sharief constituency. The double story building will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 94.05 lakh.

Hanjura on the occasion announced that he will provide Rs 2 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for setting up of a computer lab in the High School.

He said that state government has started a massive developmental programme in the entire state with the intension to provide basic amenities to the people at their door step. He said that constructing new school buildings, upgrading school infrastructure and constructing roads and hospitals are the key areas for the government and government is working hard to come up to the expectations of the people.

He said that Chrar-e-Sharief constituency was ignored in the past and for the last 36 years no major development has been witnessed in the constituency.  He said that far the last couple of years he has provided around Rs 2 crore for purchasing of electric transformers.

On the occasion, people raised number of demands and grievances of the area with the Minister who gave patient hearing to them and assured that the problems would be taken up with the concerned officer for early redressal.

The Minister was accompanied by senior officers of district administration.
