Celebrity singers Masha Ali, Diljaan enthralled audience at Katra
KATRA: Minister of Finance and Planning Ajay Nanda today attended the semi finals of ‘All India Devotional Songs Competition’ which entered its eighth day.
Ajay Nanda while speaking on the occasion said that the competition has become a good platform for the singers and has become a big attraction for the tourists visiting the holy shrine.
Celebrity singers Masha Ali and Diljaan, Dy.SP Subash Bhardwaj, President Hotel Association, Katra and Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee along with various other guests were present on the occasion.
Famous celebrity singers Masha Ali and Diljaan who had come all the way for performing in the event enthralled the audience with their melodious songs.
In the semi finals 11 participants qualified for the Mega Final to be held at Yog Ashram Complex Katra. Sukhjinder Yamla from Amritsar, Sukhdeep from Dharamkot, Shivankar Bharti from Jammu, Swaran Lata from Jalandhar , Kabul Bhukhari from Mumbai, Vivek Mohan from Jammu, Anmol Raja from Hoshiarpur , Varsha Jamwal from Jammu, Mohinder Soni from Jammu, Reema Devi from Kanyala, Shubh Sisters from Chamba will be battling in the final round to win the coveted competition.
The winner will be awarded Gold worth Rs 3 Lakh besides a recording contract with Venus Records and Tapes. Likewise the 1st runner up will win Rs 1 lac and the 2nd runner up will go home with Rs 50,000 as prize money.
The Devotional Song Competition was adjudged by a panel of experts from music fraternity including celebrity singers Masha Ali and Diljaan, Lecturer Music Government Degree College Parade, Prof. Anupama Sharma and former Director All India Radio, V.K Sambyal.
