Srinagar : Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone today reviewed the arrangements being made for celebrations of Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr in an officers meeting today.
The meeting was attended by the officers of CA&PD, PDD, PHE, R&B, Food Safety besides, other concerned officers of various departments.
The District Development Commissioner stressed for ensuring proper sanitation, installing LED lamps.
The market checking squads were directed to check the illegal profiteering and selling of low quality food items and take actions against them on the spot.
The Traffic authorities were directed to make proper arrangements for smooth movement of traffic in the city, arrangement for parking of vehicles.
Regarding availability of LPG, Sugar and other essential commodities, CAPD department was directed to ensure required supply of essential commodities. The DDC was also informed that an extra one kg of sugar per ration ticket will be given to the consumers from tomorrow.
District Development Commissioner directed PDD and PHE departments to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply during festival days.
The meeting was further informed the SDM (E) Srinagar will be the Nodal Officer for better coordination and synergy between the various essential departments.
