Srinagar:-Another CRPF trooper who was injured in a Fidayeen attack on District Police Lines Pulwama has succumbed, taking the death toll to three.
The identity of the deceased was not ascertained immediately.
Earlier, a CRPF man and a policeman were killed in the attack and six other forces’ personnel, including two SOG policemen and three CRPF men, were injured after Fidayeen militants stormed the DPL Pulwama around 3:45 am today and attacked a guard-post with grenades and gunfire, police said.
A constable Imtiyaz Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Churet Qazigund was killed in the attack.
He had sustained injuries in the attack carried out by militants in the pre-dawn hours today. Five CRPF personnel were also injured in the attack.
Additional reinforcements have been rushed to the spot and entire area has been sealed off.
Sources said the militants, believed to be three, are still holed up inside the district police lines.
The cross firing was going on when reports last came in.

Injured persons have been identified as Constable Mohd Yaqood Jora (Belt no. 566/Pl) , Pummy Kumar of 182 Bn CRPF(Belt no. 055073177), Proby Naryan of 182 Bn CRPF and Roy Sudh Karan of 182 Bn CRPF (Belt no. 135031703).
The authorities, fearing law and order trouble, snapped Internet services across Pulwama district.
