Jammu: The Excise Department today declared the results of painting competition organized by the department in all excise ranges of the state on May 22.
The painting competition was held by the department on the theme “Drug Addiction is an invitation to Death & Destruction” under Social Responsibility Programme involving school students of different age groups (categories).
Around two thousand students of the Government and Private schools falling in the territorial jurisdiction of various excise ranges participated in the competition. A Committee of experts along with the officers of the Excise Department made selection of the best paintings at Leh, Srinagar and Jammu.
The cash prize of Rs 4000, Rs 3000, and Rs 2000 will be awarded to the 1st 2nd and 3rd winners respectively in each category in every excise range. Two consolation prizes of Rs 1000 each will also be awarded.
