A labourer of Hindustan Constructions Company (HCC) died of electrocution in Markoot area of Gurez in Bandipora district of north Kashmir late Thursday night.
An official said that a labourer of HCC died while dewatering at Edit 1 Tunnel near dam site of 330 Mega Watt Kishen Ganga Power Project in Gurez.
“He received an electric shock and died on spot,” said the official.
The deceased was identified as Manjeet Singh, 27, son of Charan Singh, a resident of Amritsar in Punjab.
