Minister stresses on strict adherence to quality
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 07: Minister for Public Works, Naeem Akhtar today exhorted upon the executing agencies to strictly adhere to the quality parameters in the execution of development works.
He also stressed on government functionaries to maintain added transparency and accountability in utilization of resources including public money.
The Minister was interacting with Public works department functionaries during his visit to Narwal area to inspect progress of ongoing construction work of Rigid pavement road from Railway crossing to FCI Godowan Narwal.
The Minister was accompanied by Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) Sudheer Shah besides senior engineers of concerned departments.
The Minister was informed that 1565 mtr Railway crossing to FCI Godowan Narwal road would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 4.53 crore by M/S TRB Infratech Pvt. Ltd .
Naeem Akhtar said the government has taken a decision to construct more roads in the State with cement concrete which would last up to 40 years. He reiterated the resolve of the government to improve living condition of the people of the state by providing all basic amenities at their doorstep and fast track development of each and every area of the state.
The Minister said that the completion of Railway crossing to FCI Godowan Narwal road would facilitate the tankers and other heavy vehicles which plying on this road every day.
