“The tournament is being organised by health department at Sher-e-Kashmir sports stadium Bandipora under the banner of ‘Khelo Sehat Ke Liye’ and it is ironical they didn’t provide ambulance to the injured players even in their own tournament,” he said.
The match was being played between Government Degree College Bandipora and Physical Education College Ganderbal.
“The match has come to conclusion but the health department is yet to provide ambulance to the injured players. One of the players Aqib Ganai broke his shoulder and another player Amir Sofi received injuries in his leg during the match. We called the concerned BMO several times but he is yet to provide any ambulance,” said a player.
Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Dr. Bilquees said she had already asked the BMO in the morning to keep at least one ambulance on standby for the match. “I don’t know why he has not provided the ambulance. I will look into the matter,” she said.
