Srinagar: Scores of students on Wednesday staged protests in Ajas area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district against the last week’s crackdown on Government Degree College Pulwama in which over 50 students were injured.
The students of the Higher Secondary school and several middle schools in Ajas area took to streets and blocked the Bandipora-Srinagar road, thereby hampering traffic movement.
The protesting students were shouting pro-freedom and anti-government slogans.
The students of Higher Secondary school Nadihal also staged a demonstration against the use of force on the students of GDC Pulwama.
The students of Government Higher Secondary School Kangan also hit the roads to express solidarity with the students of Government Degree College Pulwama.
The students marched through the Kangan market and staged a sit-in at the main chowk.
