Gurezi asks for improving Gurez road connectivity, build infra

Srinagar | June 23: Deputy Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gurezi Thursday directed the officers of Roads and Buildings (R&B) and PMGSY to conduct survey of Tehsil Gurez and prepare a Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for new road connectivity besides establishment of Dak Bunglows and submit the same to the concerned quarters.

The direction was given by the Deputy Speaker in an officers’ meeting convened to discuss and review the progress of developmental works under execution in Gurez Constituency.

It was informed in the meeting that the construction work of new road projects on Purana Tulail-Dengithal, Gujjran-Abdullah, Safaid Abb and Kashpot-Rufujje costing Rs 17.15 crore will be start soon.  It was also given out that Five Bay Garage for Snow Clearance Control Room at Dawar Gurez was completed at an estimated cost of 85.20 lakh but only Rs 67.70 lakhs were released for the purpose.

The meeting was attended by the Commissioner and Secretary, PWD Mr. Rohit Kansal, Chief Engineer R & B, Kashmir Mr. Satish Razdan, Chief Engineer Mechanical Mr. Mr. Rajnesh, Chief Engineer PMGSY Mr. D. D. Gorkha and other officers of R & B, Mechanical and PMGSY.
