Srinagar: Minister for Roads and Buildings Abdul Rehman Veeri today informed the House that the development and upgradation of road from Chattergam to Wadipora via Gowherpora is an approved scheme under NABARD RIDFXVI. He said that the road stands macadamized for a length of 3.00 Kms and the balance portion is proposed to be macadamized during the current financial year.
The Minister was replying to a question raised by Ali Mohammad Dar.
The Minister said work for Gangipora to Pampore via Rakh Shalina Tengan was put to tenders in September -2015. However, the work could not be taken up then and is now proposed to be taken up for macadamization during the current financial year, the Minister said.
Veeri said that the Sambubugh to Shalina road was damaged due to floods of September-2014 and the development of this road by way of Water Bound Macadam (WBM) has been completed during 2015-16.
