Aijaz Khan listens to people’s issues at Gool

RAMBAN: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Gool Aijaz Ahmed Khan today listened to public issues during a public grievances camp held at Gool.

The MLA listened to the public demands and problems of area in presence of SDM Pankaj Bhogatra, XEN REW, CMO, CEO, AEEs and other officers.

Many issues were redressed on the spot in consolation with the concerned departments.

The MLA directed the Executive Engineer PDD to provide required poles and transformers for restoration of power in the area which have been affected during the rainy season. He also directed   PHE department to plug leakages and replace old pipes for smooth supply of potable water to people of the area. Meanwhile, BDO Gool was directed to complete all onging NREGA works and take concerted measures for effective implementation of SBM and other schemes launched by the department for improving living condition of general masses.

He further directed PWD to complete work of revenue complex and conference hall being executed at Gool. He also directed executing agencies to gear up the construction work of Government Degree College Gool to make it functional at the earliest.

Aijaz Khan stressed upon officers to effectively implement developmental and social welfare schemes for uplift of women, children, old-aged and weaker sections of the society.

He directed the BRO to complete Kantha morh to Gool road to benefit the people of the area.

The MLA directed the Collector Railway to ensure employment of local people by different construction companies as per standing government order. He directed Tehsildar Gool to issue SC/ST certificates to the people by organizing regular camps in far flung areas. He also asked ACD to ensure that all the 14 departments meet every month at block level to provide services to the people under Public Services Guarantee Act (PGSA).

Earlier, the people of Sangaldan, Gool, Dhram, Chhachwa, Ind, Dashan and adjoining areas demanded   more roads under PMGSY, double laning of road from Ramban to Gool, development of park at Sangaldan, upgrading of middle schools to high schools, adequate staff in schools and health centres, new poles and transformers, more Bank branches and new Khidmat Centres in their areas.
