LONDON: England Women’s cricketer Danielle Wyatt has clarified her position over Virat Kohli’s spelling mistake that attracted Twitter trolls on her timeline on Tuesday.
The England all-rounder clarified that it was not her who had inscribed Kohli’s name at the bottom of the bat, but it was the bat’s manufacturer who did it.The 26-year-old, a staunch Virat Kohli fan had flaunted a cricket bat presented by the Indian captain to her. In a picture shared on Twitter, Danielle proudly displayed the bat which she said was ‘bigger than her in the middle’.However, it was the spelling mistake in Kohli’s name inscribed at the base of the bat which attracted a lot of people asking her to do away with such silly errors. Notably, this is not the first time Danielle had written ‘Kohli’ as ‘Kholi’ — an error that a lot of people end up making.
When she had proposed the Indian superstar of marrying her in 2014, Danielle had written “Kholi marry me”.Many of Kohli’s fans had taken to Twitter to tell Danielle about the spelling mistake and asked her to rectify it.
