Srinagar: National Conference (NC) legislator Abdul Majeed Larmi has asked Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to “break silence” on the “martyrdom of 250 youth since the martyrdom of Hizb commander Burhan Wani on July 8 last year”.
Talking to reporters in his hom constituency Homeshalibugh Kulgam on Friday, Larmi said: “Since the martyrdom of Burhan Wani over 250 youth have been martyred. Properties have been damaged, but Mehbooba ji hasn’t spoken on this.”
He alleged that the chief minister was working on directions from Nagpur, referring to RSS headquarters, “to save her chair”.
He said that Mehbooba should take a cue from her predecessor Omar Abdullah who sought apology for 2010 killings.
“Our sisters were martyred. And Mehbooba ji despite being a woman didn’t even talk about that. She should talk. The way Omar Abdullah apologized on the floor of the assembly,” said Larmi
