Kulgam: A civilian was killed during clashes near the site of the gunfight in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
Sources said that 3 soldiers have also received fatal injuries.
Reports said that youth took to streets and clashed with the forces to disrupt the anti-militant operation going on since late last night in Wani Mohalla of Khudwani.
A civilian identified as Sharjeel Ahmad Sheikh (28) was killed after he was hit by a bullet.
Meanwhile, the authorities have ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in Kulgam district in view of the ongoing gunfight and the clashes.
As already reported 3 soldiers have also suffered injuries. Sources said the condion of one of the solders is critical.
