On the directions of SSP Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan, Police Station Phalgam held a police-public meeting, in which a good number of respectables of the Phalgam as well as Trade Union members, Auqaf Committees and Ponny Union participated.
The participants raised different issues including drug addiction among the youth, restoration of electricity which got affected due to recent wind storm and some other issues which were pertaining to other departments. The participants were assured that the issues having bearing on the Police will be redressed as soon as possible while as the matters pertaining to other departments will be taken up with the concerned departments for their immediate rederssal. During the meeting was chaired by SDPO Pahalgam Shri Tariq Ahmad in the persence of SHO Phalgam Shri Shabir Ahmad. Emphasis was laid on the role of youth, bad habit/waywardness of the youth who need to be counselled by the parents/Teachers/respectables and responsible citizens of the society so that their energies are properly channelized which will subsequently have a positive effects upon the growth of the society. The participants were requested to keep co-operating with the police as they have been doing, so that the peaceful environment in the area is maintained and achieved
