Take advantage of ceasefire and ask your sons to shun militancy: Vaid to militant families

Srinagar:  A day after Government of India announces unilateral ‘ceasefire’ for the month of Ramadan, the Jammu Kashmir Police Chief SP Vaid today appealed the families of militants to persuade their children to join mainstream.

“Taking advantage of fresh initiative of GOI during Ramadan, families of local militants should urge their sons to leave path of violence & join them to live peacefully. Wish them good luck,” Vaid tweeted.
