A soldier was killed and another injured on Thursday in a militant attack in Tral area of this south Kashmir district.
Unknown militants opened indiscriminate fire upon the soldiers of 42 RR manning gate of their camp in Nadar area of Tral here this evening, a senior police official told.
In the exchange of gunfire, two soldiers were injured, the official said.
Both were removed to army’s Badamibagh cantonment hospital for treatment. However, one of the soldiers succumbed to his injuries, the police official said.
