In the statement, Tanushree says that she is not a drug addict, nor does she drink and is not a lesbian. Rather, she says, that she is “too much of a woman for this patriarchal and misogynistic cesspool to handle.”

In a press conference, Rakhi Sawant, who has been involved in a mud-slinging exchange with Tanushree Dutta ever since she recently spoke up about the harassment that she allegedly faced at the hands of Nana Patekar on the sets of a film in 2008, levelled allegations of her own against the former beauty queen.
Rakhi launched a fresh attack against the actress and accused her of rape. During the press conference, Rakhi also claimed that Tanushree is a lesbian. Rakhi further attacked Tanushree and stated that the ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ actress touched her inappropriately twelve years ago. She even alleged that Tanushree went bald because of her homosexuality. Rakhi also claimed that Tanushree took her to several rave parties and even consumed drugs in front of her.
Putting the lid on such allegations and accusations, Tanushree has now set the record straight with an official statement. In the statement, Tanushree says that she is not a drug addict, nor does she drink and is not a lesbian. Rather, she says, that she is “too much of a woman for this patriarchal and misogynistic cesspool to handle.”

Further, she asks everyone to not make a mockery out of such a serious movement that can potentially bring positive changes of mindset in our society.
Here’s her complete statement:
“For those uninitiated in the art of guerrilla war tactics: Smear campaigns never run fair or square.
So just to set the record straight: I’m not a drug addict,
I don’t smoke or Drink and I a
m most definitely not a lesbian.
In fact I’m too much of a woman for this patriarchal and misogynistic cesspool to handle.
Hence the perverted character assassination attempts to shut me up!! It’s clearly not working.
Lets not make a jokery of such a serious movement that can potentially bring positive changes of mindset in our society”
