Department of posts launches a new website.
Jammu, 29 October 2018:Department of Posts today launched a new website in a function organised at Meghdoot Bhawan, Jammu. The website was inaugurated by DDG (Budget and accounts) Postal Directorate New Delhi, Shri Rajnish Jenaw.
Speaking on the occasion Shri Jenaw said that the website was launched to bring postal department closer to its customers and also to the general public. He mentioned that the initiative will align with the principles of Digital India campaign to ensure the Government’s services’ availability to citizens electronically by improved online infrastructure.
Director (Finance) & office, Department of Posts (DOP) J&K Circle Shri Arun Kumar mentioned the relevance of the website for general public and its contribution to bring transparency in financial system of the department.
He said that the public can get all the information related to new ventures of DOP like Indian Postal Payment Bank, apps launched by DOP & other initiatives from the website. “Website’s interactive feature will enable public to give their valuable feedback. They can see citizen charter, list of RTI files and other mandatory disclosures,” he said.
Retired officials of DOP of J&K Circle can get updated information about their NPS, pension, GPF online from the website.
Amanullah Tak (Jt. Controller CCA), J. R. Angral (SSPO) Jammu, S. P. Sharma (ACAO) and the other dignitaries also participated in the function. Shri Ashok Sharma gave vote of thanks on the occasion. Public can access the website via www.dapjammu.com.
