Srinagar, Nov 15: Muslim League Jammu Kashmir on Thursday condemned the charge-sheet against Dukhtaran-e-MIllat chief Syeda Asiya Andrabi, Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi by NIA, saying that incarcerating the political leaders and activists including women on “concocted charges” is nothing but “travesty of justice and democracy”.
Muslim League spokesperson Sajad Ayoubi in a statement issued to GNS termed the charge=sheet as “sheer vengeance and intimidation” saying “all these coercive tactics won’t deter us from advocating just cause”.
“These inhuman, immoral and undemocratic tactics will be resisted tooth and nail. Pro-freedom leadership and their families are harassed and terrorized. All these shameful attempts are revenge against the people of Kashmir and leadership will in no way dent their commitment,” Ayoubi said.
“We will never surrender and all people are committed with freedom movement and state sponsored hooliganism won’t let down their spirits and sentiments,” he added.
Hailing the sacrifices rendered by youth, political leaders and party activists, the spokesperson said since past seven decades, Kashmiris have given countless precious sacrifices to carry forward their movement. (GNS)
