Says NC caters to the regional aspirations

Srinagar, Dec 19 (RNA): Former minister Basharat Bukhari Wednesday said that environment had already disrupted between him and the PDP and that his expulsion was just a matter of formality.

Bukhari was talking to the media after he formally joined National Conference after the PDP expelled him on Tuesday.

He said that in 2009 some people came into the party and wanted me to see out of it, “it still managed to stay there these many years, but now I feel that PDP has outgrown and, I cannot seem to keep pace with that,” he said.

He said that his leaving the party was decided almost 15 days ago, “I had gone to meet with Mehbooba ji and there the environment deteriorated so much that it was evident for me that I should be leaving the party,” he said. (RNA)
