Snow Covered Roads Priority First Cleared , Power Supply Restored In Maximum Areas: SDM Chadoora

Budgam: Though the dry weather spell in valley has ended with the snowfall from Friday and had brought relief from the severe chilling waves.
The Heavy Snowfall in higher reaches and inches of snow in plain areas which started on Friday afternoon in valley has blocked the movement of normal routine in the valley.
All the major as well as the link roads in the central Kashmir’s budgam district were choked by the snowfall and all the vehicles remain pinned o the road side from Friday.
Though the depth of the snow was not to that extreme but adminstration set its men and machinery into motion from Saturday morning in maximum areas and priority first roads were cleared.
Many areas of the district are still suffering hard and the roads are yet to be cleared from blanket of snow.
The power supply which had been affected from Friday was restored in main areas of the district and maximum areas still under the darkness in the chilling winter and are expected to be restored on Sunday.
“The snow clearance vehicles were sent early to their destinations to clear snow first on the priority first roads which have been completed and maximum link roads have also been cleared in the jurisdiction of Chadoora, Chararisharief and BK Pora of district budgam and power supply has also been restored in major areas of Sub Division Chadoora” said Sub Divisional Magistrate Chadoora Shri.Ab Aziz Rather
