Police arrest a person, seize Govt rice, flour in Srinagar
Srinagar, Jan 16: (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday arrested a person and recovered 74 bags of government rice and two bags of flour in summer capital, Srinagar, a police spokesman said here this afternoon.
He said Police post Bemina received information through reliable sources that one person namely Bilal Ahmad Nath, resident of Bilal Colony Bemina is selling government rice after repacking the same in fake Apple Brand bags.
He said on receiving information SDPO West Srinagar Musadiq Majid Basu and Incharge Police Post Bemina Manan Ahmad raided the area and arrested Nath and seized 74 bags of government rice and two bags of atta flour. He said the accused was repacking the rice in fake Apple Brand bags and selling the same by cheating the people.
In this connection FIR No 13/2019 P/S Parimpora u/s 409,420,120b RPC was registered & investigation taken up.
