1150 SgCt promoted to HC, 907 being given promotion in J&K police
Srinagar, Jan 21: (UNI) As many as 1150 Selection Grade Constables (SgCt) were promoted to next grade while similar orders will be issued in favour of 907 others in the Jammu and Kashmir police, a police spokesman said here on Monday.
He said a departmental Promotion Committee under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir S P Pani has promoted 1150 SgCt to the rank of Head Constables (HCs) following an order by the Police Department after completion of all departmental formalities.
He said formal promotion orders in respect of 907 more SgCTs shall be issued soon after attending the pre-promotion course.
Mr Pani has felicitated the promoted officials and their families and expressed hope that they will strive to work with greater zeal and professionalism for public welfare and the maintenance of peace and public order.
