Life remains affected in Baramulla for second day

Baramulla, Jan 25: (UNI) Life remained affected due to strike for the second day on Friday in this north Kashmir district, where three Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed by security forces in an encounter Wednesday afternoon.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads. However, private and passenger vehicles were plying on the Srinagar-Uri national highway. Additional security forces have been deployed at sensitive places on the highway to prevent any stone pelting. Work in government offices and banks was also affected.
Large number of security forces and state police personnel have been deployed on main bridges, connecting down town with civil lines in the town to prevent any demonstration.
Additional security forces have been deployed in the down town to maintain law and order. Three militants, including two locals, were killed in an encounter on Wednesday after in a village outskirts Baramulla town.
