Army to organize medical camp in Leh tomorrow
Leh, Jan 31: (UNI) Army in collaboration with civil administration is organizing a medical camp for the people of Choglamsar in this district of Ladakh region on February Ist, a defence ministry spokesman said here today.
He said Fire & Fury Corps, in collaboration with Zonal Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), under the guidance of Mrs Ina Joshi, Zonal President AWWA Fire & Fury Corps and the civil administration has been regularly launching outreach medical facilities to Veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents in remote areas at their doorstep through deployment of mobile dispensary services.
He said in continuation of the same, a medical camp is being organised at village Choglamsar, Leh on February Ist 2019.
Services of Specialist Doctors and some specialized investigations are going to be provided alongwith dental care. The health advice and medical facilities are being collectively coordinated and supplied by both the Army and the civil administration.
He said approximately 400-500 Veterans, Veer Naris and their dependents are expected to benefit from the services being planned to be provided.
As the year 2019 has been declared to be the ‘Year of the Next of Kin’, such outreach medical facilities are being extended to Veterans, Veer Naris & their dependents under the banner of Fire and Fury Corps, he added.
