Over 20 houses damaged in avalanche in Bandipora
Srinagar, Feb 22: (UNI) Over 20 residential houses were damaged after an avalanche hit village Khandiyal in border town of Gurez which remained cut off from the district headquarters Bandipora in north Kashmir due to snow, official sources said.
They said the avalanche occurred at Khandiyal late Thursday night.
A massive relief and rescue operation has been launched in the area, they said, adding that details are awaited.
