Srinagar, Feb 23: (UNI) Three persons are reported missing after a snow avalanche hit Ajas area in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said on Saturday morning.
They said three persons were buried under a huge snow avalanche occurred at Ajas Bandipora. A massive search operation has been launched to rescue the missing persons.
About 55 houses and a school building were damaged fully or partially due to snow storm in village Khandiyal in border town of Gurez on Thursday night. However, there was no report of any casulity as the inmates had left their houses. The area witnessed heavy snowfall recently.
