Srinagar, Mar 2: (UNI) A constable of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died due to electrocution in Safa Kadal area of the down town city early Saturday morning, official sources said.
They said CRPF constable Altaf Ahmad Mir on guard duty at main gate of Safa Kadal police station got in contact with a live wire early this morning.
Mir, son of Alam Mir, a resident of Check Arsalan Bandipora died instantly, they said his service weapon and magazines were also damaged.
Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
