Jammu, Mar 9: (UNI) Teams of police and Army on Saturday diffused an improvised explosive device (IED) in Khour area, here on the city outskirts.
“On Saturday morning at around 1055 hrs, a routine police patrol party observed a suspicious object at Nandwal Chowk on Khour-Pallanwala road,” an official Spokesperson said.
On receiving information, police and Army teams, along with bomb disposal squad, were immediately rushed to the spot.
“The area was isolated and the IED was successfully diffused, without any loss of life or property,” said the Spokesperson, adding that search in the area was still going on, to rule out the presence of more IEDs in the area.
