Srinagar, Mar 10: (UNI) A drug peddler was arrested and 36 kgs of contraband poppy straw recovered by police in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, a police spokesman said on Sunday.
He said on a tip off about a drug peddler a naka was established in Kulgam. During the checking one person was recovered after 36 contraband poppy straw was recovered from his possession.
A case has been registered and further investigation taken up, he said adding Police will be actively pursuing drug peddlers .
