Srinagar, Mar 15 (UNI) Charred body of a person was found in an Army camp in north Kashmir district of Kupwara on Friday.
Official sources said that panic gripped the camp of 175 Territorial Army regiment at Panzgam in Kupwara on Friday, when some jawans saw charred body of a person inside the camp. “The body has been sent to Kupwara hospital for post mortem,” they said.
They said police has registered a case and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of the death. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased will be handed over to his relatives for last rites.
However, conflicting reports are emmerging over the identity of the deceased. One report claims that the deceased was a soldier while another report claims that he was a tailor working with the Army.
Meanwhile, a Defence Ministry spokesperson said that the information about the incident is being collected.
