Traffic cop killed in Poonch’s Surankote
Jammu, Mar 15 (UNI) A traffic policeman was killed when a speedily driven truck ran over him in Surankote area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.
“A truck hit the traffic policeman this morning at Jogi Mohre in Surankote,” police here said.
They said that the incident occurred when the policeman was performing his duties and signalled the truck driver to stop, adding, “the cop identified Special Police officer Aftab Parvez, a resident of Kamsar village, Poonch suffered fatal injuries on the spot.”.
A case has been registered and investigation started while a manhunt launched to nab the absconding driver.
