Militant hideout busted by security forces in Shopian
Srinagar, Mar 25: (UNI) Security forces on Monday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in an orchard in south Kashmir district of Shopian.
Official sources said that following specific information about presence of militants, a joint search operation was launched by a team of state police and Army in village Shirmal in Shopian on Monday.
“During the search, security forces unearthed a militant hideout in an orchard,” they said.
They said the hideout was used by militants and their associates. “Police has registered a case and initiated investigation to nab civilians, who gave logistic support in building the hideout,” they added.
