Srinagar, Mar 28: (UNI) Life was paralysed on Thursday in Chadoora in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, where three youths were killed on this day in 2017 in security force action on demonstrators.
Shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in Chadoora on Srinagar-Charar-e-Sharief and dozens of other areas in central Kashmir. Educational institutions in Chadoora and nearby areas remained closed and work in government offices and banks was affected due to strike.
Three youths Amir, Zahid and Ishfaq were killed when security forces opened fire to disperse demonstrators who were protesting against the death of a militant in an encounter.
Additional security forces and state police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order.
