Srinagar, Mar 29: (UNI) An Army soldier died after he slipped and fell into a deep gorge near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
Official sources on Friday said that a soldier, identified as Naik Parvez Ahmad, was a part of the team which was patrolling upper reaches in Boniyar sector in Baramulla late on Thursday evening.
“Naik Parvez was critically injured when he slipped and fell into a deep gorge,” they said, adding he was immediately taken to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Naik Parvez, a resident of Rajasthan, was part of 5 Grenadiers of the Army, they added.
