Srinagar, Apr 2: (UNI) Launching a drive against tax defaulters, the State Tax department, Kashmir, on Tuesday conducted surprise inspection of various business premises in the down town city.
Additional Commissioner State Taxes((Administration & Enforcement), Kashmir, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat said this afternoon that the Department conducted surprise inspection of business premises of M/s 7-Days Restaurant, opposite Jamia Masjid Nowhatta.
He said the inspection was conducted under his supervision by a team which also included sales Tax
Officers, Mukhtar Ahmad, Aijaz Coudhary, Irfan Bhadur, Mohammad Muneer Ahmad, Sakhi Khan & Ghulam Mohiudin Malik alongwith inspectors.
The team also inspected the premises of M/S Tawheed Medical Alamgari Bazar, M/S New Mughal Darbar, Bagh-i-Ali Mardan Khan M/S Alba Retail (Favorite Store) and seized vital documents for scrutiny.
State Taxes Department, through this publication, advises the dealers to avoid using dishonest practices for evasion of tax and are directed to adhere to the provisions of the GST Act, 2017 and the rules framed there under, strictly in letter and spirit.
Further they are advised to issue GST invoices for all sales failing which they shall be penalised.
