A Kupwara youth booked under PSA, shifted to Jammu

Baramulla, Apr 16: (UNI) A youth in Handwara in the frontier district of Kupwara was arrested under Public Safety Act (PSA) for his alleged anti national activities and shifted to Jammu jail, official sources said on Tuesday.
They said Aijaz Ahmad Bhat son of late Habibullah Bhat, a resident of Nihama Kralgund arrested for his alleged anti national activities.
He was later booked under PSA and shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail in Jammu on Monday.
Dozens of youths from different parts of the Kashmir valley, particularly in south, were arrested during the past about two months and booked under PSA. Majority of them were later shifted to Jammu jails.
Over 300 Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) leaders and activists were arrested after the organization was banned by the centre. Jamait-ul-Ahalhadee leaders and activists were also arrested for their alleged anti national activities.
