Srinagar, Apr 19: (UNI) Reacting to BJP candidate for parliamentary election Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, accused in 2008 Malegaon blast case, comment about former Mumbai Anti-Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti asked if the saffron party will take action against Sadhvi for her disparaging remark on the officer, who died in action during the Mumbai terror attacks.
For a party that pretends to honour our police personnel how is this even acceptable, Ms Mehbooba, who is the former chief minister of the state, said.
“Will BJP take action against Sadhvi for her disparging comments on Hemant Karkare who died fighting terrorists in the 26/11 attacks? For a party that pretends to honour our police personnel how is this even acceptable? Its glaringly anti national even for BJP standards,” Ms Mehbooba wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Sadhvi Pragya on Friday said Hemant Karkare died because of his karma. She further alleged that Hemant Karkare had treated her “very badly”.
