Srinagar, Apr 20: (UNI) The Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh, on Saturday announced 100 scholarships for Jammu and Kashmir students, which will be given exclusively on merit cum means basis in various courses for 2019-20 batch.
An official spokesperson of Aryans Group of Colleges told UNI that these scholarships will be given to 50 girls and 50 boys. “50 per cent of the scholarship will be provided by Aryans and rest 50 per cent will be financed in the shape of education loan,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that the scholarship will be given exclusively on merit cum means basis in various courses being run by Aryans Group.
Dr Kataria further said that Aryans has already started admissions for its 13th batch in various courses like B Tech, LEET, Polytechnic Diploma, LLB, BA-LLB, BCom-LLB, MBA, BBA, BCA, BCom, BSc Hons (Agri), Diploma (Agri), BA, BEd, GNM, ANM, MA (Edu), B. Pharmacy, D Pharmacy etc.
Mr Jaswinder Singh, Head Admission, J&K, said that because of its peaceful environment, Aryans has become the 1st choice of JK students near Chandigarh. Around 2000 students from various parts of JK are already studying at Aryans.
The spokesperson said to support financially weaker sections of the society Aryans has started many scholarship schemes. “The group is admitting students under Dr Kiran Bedi Scholarship scheme, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme, Late MR Kataria Memorial Scholarship, Roshaan Scholarship Scheme etc,” he said.
