Srinagar, Apr 25: (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested a drug peddler and recovered huge quantity of contraband from him in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Official sources on Thursday said that following specific information, a police team arrested a drug peddler, identified as Amir Ahmad Bhat, at Litter in Pulwama. “Police seized 120 kg of Poppy Straw from him,” they said.
They said police has registered a case and initiated investigation to nab other people involved in drug trafficking. “Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law,” they added.
