Baramulla, May 1: A girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in the north Kashmir district of Kupwara, official sources said on Wednesday.
They said a 12th class student was found hanging in her home at village Glasdegi Hyhama in Kupwara last evening. However, other family members immediately rushed her to hospital where she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
It was no immediately clear why she took this extreme step, they said adding police has registered a case and initiated proceedings.
