Srinagar, May 14: Strongly condemning attack on party worker by militants in Shopian on Monday, the National Conference (NC) said such dastardly acts cannot deter party from serving people.
Sajjad Ahmad Ganie was shot and injured by militants at Chitragam Shopian last night.
In a statement here this evening provincial spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar while decrying the attack said, “I pray for the speedy recovery of Sajad. “NC unequivocally condemn the attack and also salute the zeal with which our workers are serving people in the most trying times. I am hopeful that Sajad will rise again to take forward the mission of serving people”, he said.
“It is regrettable to see unarmed people being attacked at. I condemn the attack in the strongest terms .
Meanwhile, he said, I also urge the incumbent governor administration to ensure safe environment for the political workers to carry forward their activities. The perpetrators behind the attack should be brought to book.
