Srinagar, May 15: A former minister and two ex-legislators on Wednesday met Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik at Raj Bhavan here and discussed various issues of public importance.
A Raj Bhavan spokesman said that Ghulam Hassan Mir, former Minister, held discussions with Governor about the challenges in the State and the steps required for engendering conditions which can lead to sustained peace and normalcy.
He said Saif-Ud-Din Bhat, MLC, met Governor here today and discussed with him various issues of public importance.
He said Er Sheikh Abdulah Rasheed, former MLA, also met Malik and shared his perspective relating to certain issues of public importance.
Meanwhile, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Khalid Jehangir met Governor Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today and shared with him his views relating to ensuring peace and normalcy in the State, spokesman said.
He said Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Aga Syed Mohsin also met Mr Malik and discussed with him various issues being faced by people in Kashmir.
