Srinagar,June 02: (T&U) Holy Shab-e-Qadr, the most blessed and holiest night for Muslims in the month of Ramadan, is being observed across India on Saturday night with due solemnity and religious fervour.

Muslim all over world spending the whole night seeking divine Blessings from Almighty Allah for peace and prosperity in the country and well being for whole humanity.

According to the Holy Quran and Hadith this night is of great importance as it was when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) to show mankind the path of worldly and eternal emancipation.

As per islamic teachings The night of Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power / Decree) in Ramadan is of great significance.

Holy Quran was sent down in this night. Angels descend in this night. This night is better than a thousand months. Whatever good deeds you do in this night, it’s like you did it for 1000 months or 83 years! Authentic hadiths say Laylat-al-Qadr happens in the last 10 days of Ramadan (in an odd night). There is strong scholarly opinion that it is mostly on 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th or 29th night of the Ramadan,
Hazrat Aisha Radiallah Anha stated that I asked Rasool Allah peace be upon him, “If I find Lailatul Qadar then what should I do? HE peace be upon him said, recite this Dua.”ALLAH HUMMA INNAKA A’FUVUN TOHIB BUL AFVA FA’AFU ANNI” (Tirmidhi)

Muslims usually pass the night offering special prayers, recitations from the holy Quran, zikr and other religious rituals at mosques and in their houses. (T&U)
