Srinagar, Jun 10: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minsiter Omar Abdullah on Monday reacting to Pathankote court verdict on Kathua rape case convicting six of the seven accused said the guilty deserved the most severe punishment possible under law.
Without naming two former BJP ministers who had to resign after they participated in rally at Kathua demanding release of all accused in the rape and murder case of 8-year-old girl in January last year, Omar said the politicians who defended the accused, vilified the victims and threatened the legal system no words of condemnation are enough.
Taking to micro blogging site twitter Vice President of the National Conference (NC) Omar said “ Amen to that. The guilty deserve the most severe punishment possible under law. And to those politicians who defended the accused, vilified the victim & threatened the legal system no words of condemnation are enough”.
