Srinagar, Jun 19: A woman and her daughter were rescued after their boat capsized in Wular Lake by Navy personnel in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said.
They said the duo drowned in the Lake at Zurimanz when their boat capsized. However, Navy personnel in the nearby camp immediately launched a rescue operation after they saw two women struggling in to swim for safety.
A woman identified as Rafiqa Begum and her daughter Laali were rescued. They told Navy person that they were going to Sopore via Wular Lake when the indent took place.
